South Africa
This plant is a half-creeper shrub, which bears beautiful purple bunches of flower. The blue-grey ink, which is given off this plant, is used for tattooing by the local population.
In the "garden of butterfly", this plant is used like a dormitory by many Heliconius species.
Our collections are regularly renewed. Since the Jardin aux Papillons’ population
is constantly changing, occasionally the species cited on this
site may not be visible. Vice versa, new species are regularly
brought in to populate the Jardin aux Papillons. Thank you for
your comprehension.
