The name given to this species of plant reminds the spanish administrator Jose de Medinilla y Pineda", who was the Governor of Marianna Islands in 1820.
This shrub, which can grow to a man size, bears many big bunches of flowers that have a sweet pink colour.
Our collections are regularly renewed. Since the Jardin aux Papillons’ population
is constantly changing, occasionally the species cited on this
site may not be visible. Vice versa, new species are regularly
brought in to populate the Jardin aux Papillons. Thank you for
